Chet is in the holiday spirit these days – more so than ever. Chet’s also into cheese-ball non-traditional Christmas tunes . Here’s a song and video from one of the most ironic bands of all time The Darkness. I’ve got to be honest I loved these guys from the minute I saw the video for “I Believe In A Thing Called Love”. I thought their whole M.O. was brilliant and I still do to some extent. They shamed themselves much in the same way the Killers did by trying to be too big too fast. Sometimes when you’re an extremely talented band with a lot of potential you just need to take it slow a la Coldplay who seem to wait a perfect amount of time in between albums to muster up enough hype to sell records.
Anyway, it’s the holiday season and I still love this song and video. It’s perfect if you’re into having a campy Christmas and who’s not. Tis the season for cheesy sweaters, wonderful parties, and lame tunes.
