I saw Inception last night and can’t quit thinking about it. It blew my f**king mind. It’s definitely the best film of the year – a thinking man’s blockbuster. Those that follow the trade papers know what a risk this was: giving Christopher Nolan a blockbuster budget to make an art-house flick. He tore the roof off the sucka. It brought in 60+ million this past weekend – meaning people in the big cities and the fly-over states were diggin’ all over it.
To try and discuss the plot here would be an insult to Nolan’s storytelling. Go see this movie as soon as you can. The casting, the directing, the writing, the editing…everything is as close to perfect as you’re gonna get in a film. I’m sure there are some loopholes in the story – there always are – but when you make a movie this good who the f**k cares. I will definitely be seeing it again.
5 out of 5 stars
A foreign movie called Let The Right One In came out two years ago. It was one of my favorite films that year. It was a spin on the vampire story. For some reason some over excited studio exec decided it would be a cool idea to go ahead and remake it. I can see why you would want to with vampires being en vogue right now. You gotta strike while the irons hot.
Above is the trailer for the remake which is now called Let Me In. Honestly it doesn’t look half bad. The first one is SO good that it’s going to have a lot to live up to, but I’ll definitely be seeing this opening weekend. I’m sure others will as well. It’s all about the benjamins baby.
It’s about time this show was called out for being so crappy. They’re old and kind of ugly. Sorry if you’re a fan but it needed to said.

Classic scene from one of the greatest movies of all time. I think people occasionally quote this film while on the golf course.
I know what you’re thinking: why the hell did I go see this movie? I’m going to blame it on CD. It was all her fault. Kidding. We had a long Saturday and wanted to shut our brains off for a bit. Plus we had free tickets.
I’m going to keep this review short, because there’s not really much to say. It was complete shit. No scares. Terrible acting. Awful story telling. I can’t think of one redeeming thing about the movie besides the fact that the original one is a cult classic. Don’t go see this movie under any circumstances.
Suck on that, Hugh Grant.
