Interesting. I can’t decide if it looks good or not or honestly if I really care. The Wolverine reboot was miserable but not as bad as X3. Wow. I sound like a complete nerd. The cast of X-Men: First Class is solid and so is the director (Kick Ass, Layer Cake). I’ll see it (obviously), but that doesn’t mean I’ll like it. Plus I think January Jones wears tight-fitting clothes. Win.

Who didn’t love The Oregon Trail?
A foreign movie called Let The Right One In came out two years ago. It was one of my favorite films that year. It was a spin on the vampire story. For some reason some over excited studio exec decided it would be a cool idea to go ahead and remake it. I can see why you would want to with vampires being en vogue right now. You gotta strike while the irons hot.
Above is the trailer for the remake which is now called Let Me In. Honestly it doesn’t look half bad. The first one is SO good that it’s going to have a lot to live up to, but I’ll definitely be seeing this opening weekend. I’m sure others will as well. It’s all about the benjamins baby.
I could have done without the terrible music, but I think it looks pretty solid. Is that Cameron Diaz by the way? She just doesn’t look good to me these days. Am I wrong here?
I went and saw Get Him To The Greek last night and my immediate reaction was: is that it? Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed my time in the theater, but Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of my favorite comedies in the last several years so I guess I expected a little more. I wanted to leave the theater wanting to see it again and I didn’t.
The one part of the movie that I loved the most was how ridiculous it portrayed the music business. I worked at a label for 4 years right out of college and spent another year working with the biggest star on the planet during that time (no I won’t name names – most of you know though) and the writers pegged the biz perfectly. It’s a total mind f**k. Artists are like babies that have to be coddled day and night. When they’re hot they’re hot and when they’re not they’re not.
2.5 out of 5 stars
I don’t get it, but I don’t read comic books (except for The Watchmen which was ridiculously awesome). The movie looks ok, but I’m not salivating over it. I wasn’t salivating over Kick Ass either and it’s probably my favorite movie of 2010 so far. I do love a good comic book movie, so count me in for Scott Pilgrim when it comes out.
Time to stop making high school movies. They’re all the same and they all stink.
Lindsay Lohan really bugs me, but I’ll still see this movie. Robert Rodriguez is calling this his “illegal” trailer and encouraging everyone to spread it everywhere. Good call.
